Joshua O. Oladejo:

“I am a senior chemical engineering student with a strong interest in polymer chemistry, particularly in understanding how entanglement influences polymer properties. My research focuses on how system size affects entanglement behavior in polymer films and droplets. By investigating these effects, I aim to deepen our understanding of entanglement in thin polymer systems.  Beyond academics, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and food spots in Houston, playing sports, and spending time with friends.”

Gabriel Vin Estrada:

“I am a junior chemical engineering student. I currently have two research projects: one that focuses on student success of minority students while the other focuses on improving chemical engineering programs for all students. I plan to work in industry while pursuing my master’s degree in chemical engineering. When I am not busy with school or research, I find myself exercising, playing tabletop/video games, or tutoring those who wish to attend university in the future!”

“I am an undergraduate Chemical Engineering student working under Dr. Zerze in molecular dynamics simulations. Transitioning from a wet lab to a computational lab has been a rewarding experience. My current study focusses on polymer chain entanglement in polyethylene systems. In future work, I will be investigating melt memory phenomena. When I’m not running simulations, you’ll likely find me at a classic car or lowrider show. Nothing beats the designs of the ’40s and ’50s!”
